As thousands of people lined Main Street in Bel Air holding flags, beach balls and popcorn, three Blue Dot vehicles and dozens of team members moved along the 4th of July parade route waving, cheering and smiling. "Seeing that many people out in the community celebrating America made the holiday and parade such a spectacular event to be a part of," quotes Jeff Stagnoli, President of Blue Dot Services.
Blue Dot's ensemble included 3 vehicles decorated in red, white and blue, as well as flags, banners, the company mascot, and the well-known Blue Dot dolls. Their entry in the parade won the company 2nd place for parade decorations in the Mobile Unit category.
Before the parade started, team members walked Main Street and handed out blue glow sticks, mini replica dolls of the company mascot, and "Stay Cool With Blue" beach balls. In addition, the D.O. Believe Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on raising money and awareness for pediatric brain cancer research, handed out green drink cozies to inform the community of their upcoming 5/10K Walk & Run event. Blue Dot strongly supports the D.O. Believe Foundation, and will sponsor and host the 5/10K event September 3rd.
"Blue Dot has not participated in many parades prior to the 4th, but it was such an exciting event to prepare for; the entire company became involved. Being part of the community and seeing all the kids wave and smile at our company mascot was truly a tremendous feeling. We are definitely looking forward to taking part in future parades!" said Michelle Jakubiak, Director of Marketing at Blue Dot.
